Born into a family with a strong and longstanding musical tradition, Arta Arnicane started playing the piano and composing at the age of four. She graduated with distinction from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, the Latvian Academy of Music, and Zurich University of the Arts. She has won numerous prizes at international music competitions, including the "Vianna da Motta", "Premio Iturbi", and "Prague Spring" to name but a few. 

Arta is especially devoted to creating thematic and narrative programmes, as well as nontraditional concert forms. Her recent recital programmes and CD productions "Aqua" (2016) and "Enchanted" (2018) were received with high praise from both critics and audiences around Europe.

 

VALENTINA BERMAN

PIANIST

Dress Rehearsal: Tips from a Professor, a Juror, and an Audience Member

Valentina Berman is an exponent for the Russian piano playing tradition, which harks back to the XIX century. She was a piano pupil of Avram Schatzkes, who himself studied with Nikolai Medtner.

 

For 26 years she was a respected teacher at the Central School of Music of the Moscow State Conservatoire. Together with her husband, the renowned piano virtuoso Lazar Berman, she moved to Italy, where she became a highly sought after piano professor, teaching high caliber pianists and serving on competition jurys. She actively teaches masterclasses in Italy, Belgium, Germany, Slovakia, and Lithuania. In 2018 she was appointed the President of the Jury for the newly established International Lazar Berman Piano Competition. Mrs. Berman resides in Milano.

Meike Bistram graduated from Rohrbach School in Hanover, with a degree in physical therapy.

 

Since 2006 she runs a private practice which focuses on orthopaedy, neurology, and surgery. Mrs. Bistram also teaches courses in gymnastics and aquarobics. She has attended training courses in taping, chiropractic, back care, relaxation techniques, reflexology, and traditional Chinese medicine. In addition to this she has worked as an official medical advisor for Germany's womens' national volleyball team. Since 2016 she treats numerous musicians ranging from pianists to woodwind players.

 

ANA BUCHOVSKAJA-ZAMULSKIENĖ

DANCER & DANCE INSTRUCTOR

Improving Posture, Health, and Mood with the Help of Dancing

Born and raised in Klaipėda, Ana Buchovskaja-Zamulskienė graduated from the national M. K. Čiurlionis Arts School as a ballet dancer. Since 2014 she has been a soloist at the Klaipėda State Music Theater, where she created the role of Marina in "Zorba the Greek" as well as the title role in the modern interpretation of "Giselle". In 2019 she joined the ballet company of the Kaunas State Music Theater.

Since 2013 Mrs.  Buchovskaja-Zamulskienė teaches ballet lessons for different age groups.

Corinna Eicke holds an MBA degree in Management and Communications and is currently working as a Marketing Manager for international projects in a global enterprise. Prior to that, she owned an advertising agency for over 15 years, focusing on marketing consulting for small and medium-sized businesses. She worked as media consultant on numerous successful election campaigns of local and national politicians.

As a trained Social Media Manager, her core knowledge of the online sector includes developing online marketing concepts. Creating online media and classic advertising for successful marketing packages - whether for products or personalities - is her professional passion.

Stage Presence and Presentation

Gerūta Griniūtė is well known to audiences as the presenter of the Lithuanian national preselection of the Eurovision Song Contest in 2016, the hostess of the LRT KLASIKA show „Muzikinis pastišas“ as well as numerous other shows on Lithuanian national radio and television.

 

She graduated from the National M. K. Čiurlionis School of Arts as a pianist and received her bachelor degree in piano performance from the Lithuanian Academy for Music and Drama. She went on to obtain a masters degree in analytic journalism at the Vilnius University. Since 2010 she organizes and hosts the popular charity concert series „Muzikinis linkėjimas“.

Since retiring from piano competitions in 2011 Gintaras Januševičius built an exemplary multifaceted career as a piano performer, pedagogue, stage coach, and event producer. His theatrical and educational recital programmes have brought him on tours all around Europe as well as the USA, PR China, Japan, and Brazil. His festival appearances include the Chopin Festival in Duszniki-Zdroj, Mozartfest Würzburg, Festival Besancon, and Dresdner Musikfestspiele to name a few.

In addition to his stage career, Mr. Januševičius founded and directed four music competitions, two international piano academies, and numerous concert series. He frequently serves as a jury member at international competitions around the Europe. More information available here.

 

MACDARA Ó SEIREADÁIN

Macdara Ó Seireadáin is a native of Dublin and a First Class Honours graduate of both the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hannover and Royal Irish Academy of Music and member of the critically acclaimed Dublin-based chamber music group, the Ficino Ensemble with whom he has recently recorded their debut CD.

A multiple prizewinner, in 2010 Mr. Ó Seireadáin won the inaugural Irish Freemasons Young Musician of the Year competition and has performed as a featured soloist with the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra and the RTÉ Concert Orchestra amongst others. As both a chamber and orchestral musician he has performed throughout Europe, the USA, Canada, China, Chile, and India.

DR. SŁAWOMIR WILK

PIANIST

Reading Beethoven's Dynamics

Sławomir Wilk has given numerous solo performances in Poland as well as in Australia, Belgium, PR China, France, Germany, Ireland, Japan, South Africa, Sweden, and the USA. He is a multiple prizewinner at international competitions such as Paderewski Competition in Bydgoszcz (Poland), Chopin Competition in Marianskie Laznie (Czech Rep.), and Chopin Competition in Darmstadt (Germany). In addition to that he was a semifinalist at the International Chopin Competition in Warsaw in 2005 and the International Hamamatsu Piano Competition in 2006.

In 2018 Dr. Wilk obtained doctor of arts degree for his work on Beethoven Sonatas. At present he is teaching piano at the Stanislaw Moniuszko Music Academy in Gdansk as well as at the Academy of Art in Szczecin.
